Tips for use
1. Open the clamp.
2. Place your index finger into the pulse oximeter and close the clamp. Note that your finger should touch the bottom portion of the clamp.
3. Turn on the pulse oximeter by pressing the button one time on the front panel.
4. Keep still for an accurate reading.
5. Within about 5-10 seconds, your readings will appear on the screen. You can change the display mode by pressing the power switch. The device automatically powers off after 8 seconds.
FAQ:
Q: What might make pulse oximeter readings less accurate?
Pulse oximeters can have falsely low readings if a person has circulatory issues with poor blood flow to the extremities, such as very cold hands, intrinsic vascular disease or Raynaud’s phenomenon.
In addition, fake nails or certain darkly colored nail polish, such as black or blue, can distort the readings.
So we recommend that people measure at least one finger per hand to confirm the number.
Q: How should I store the oximeter?
1. Keep the oximeter away from dust, vibration, high temperature, moisture, corrosive substances and explosive materials.
2. The oximeter should be kept out of reach of children.
3. If the oximeter gets wet, please stop using it and do not use it until it is dry.
4. Do not use sharp objects on the oximeter.
5. Avoid direct sunlight exposure.
